Is my file uploaded?

No. The file is read and checked by this page inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.

What does it check?

The points HubSpot's own help pages give for a contacts file: the Email column, readable dates, phone numbers, repeated emails and more. Each one links to the page it comes from, with the day we last checked it.

Can it check my dropdown values?

Not here. Those are the options in your own HubSpot account, so they are checked after you sign up and paste your list.
